Subcontractors in Construction

A Subcontractor is someone that provides labor or other services at the project site. Subcontractors are hired by the General Contractor who in turn are hired by the property owner. When a project requires the services of many different trades like electricians, plumbers, HVAC, glazing, and etc., the General Contractor who has the contract with the owner will reach out to the many Subcontractors that specializes in each of these trades. “Due to their expertise in a specific field, subcontractors are especially good at product and service delivery. They know exactly what materials they need, where to get them and the time required to accomplish their task, not to mention access to potentially expensive tools or equipment. This helps the GC mitigate risks and reduce the overall costs of the project (levelset.com 2019)”.

All Subcontractors are not made equal just like General Contractors; some are licensed, insured, and bonded- others are not. It is in the best interest of everyone involved in the construction process to hire qualified contractors. We at Skybox Construction procure the best subcontractors that are certified, licensed, insured, and bonded directly from the Nevada State Contractors Board. We have a progressive list of subcontractors in all trades that have a proven performance record of providing quality, safety, and integrity.

Skybox Construction is your reliable single point of contact for all subcontractors on the project. As the General Contractor, we are responsible for the completion of your project and managing the Subcontractors that we are in contract with to get the work done on time and on budget. We understand that communication is key, so we provide weekly progress email reports to our client(s) outlining what has been achieved and what is scheduled for the upcoming week along with relevant progress photos. We also provide a detailed Construction Schedule that visually represents when different trades will be in and out of the jobsite till the expected date of completion.
